The Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) has made $25 billion available to assist households that are unable to pay rent and utilities due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The funds are provided directly to states and local government administrators to provide assistance to eligible households through "local" rental assistance programs. ERAP administrators include:

  • States (including the District of Columbia)
  • U.S. Territories:
    • Puerto Rico
    • United States Virgin Islands
    • Guam
    • Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands
    • American Samoa
  • Local governments with more than 200,000 residents
  • The Department of Hawaiian Home Lands
  • Indian Tribes (Including Alaska Native Corporations)
